Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines are generally regarded as healthy cuisines and boasts many health benefits.  Such cuisines emphasize healthy fats, lean proteins, whole grains, and fruits and veggies. Middle Eastern foods also offers  rich spices, tangy fruits, olives and olive oil, lentils and healthy seeds. Additionally we are big on grilling and broiling meats and vegetables and not so much on deep frying. Generally speaking, you can't go wrong with consuming Greek and Middle Eastern foods

Vegetarian & Vegan




A vegetarian diet focuses on plants for food. These include fruits, vegetables, dried beans and peas, grains, seeds and nuts. There is no single type of vegetarian diet. Instead, vegetarian eating patterns usually fall into the following groups:
  • The vegan diet, which excludes all meat and animal products
  • The lacto vegetarian diet, which includes plant foods plus dairy products
  • The lacto-ovo vegetarian diet, which includes both dairy products and eggs
People who follow vegetarian diets can get all the nutrients they need. However, they must be careful to eat a wide variety of foods to meet their nutritional needs. Nutrients vegetarians may need to focus on include protein, iron, zinc and vitamin B12

Food Allergies and Food Intolerance


A food allergy is an abnormal immune response to food. The signs and symptoms may range from mild to severe. They may include itchiness, swelling of the tongue, vomiting, diarrhea, hives, trouble breathing, or low blood pressure. This typically occurs within minutes to several hours of exposure. When the symptoms are severe it is known as anaphylaxis
